John Barnes to George Mason (August 24, 1786)

Portobacco August 24th: 1786
SIR
I am now at P. tobacco a looking into the Books & Accts. of B & [R?], and shall esteem it a particular favour to send by the Bearer the small Book you let me look over when at your house, with the list of Ballances taken from the Books of B & [R?] in your possession by Mr. Wm. Thompson. The book shall be taken particular care of & sent you in a short time as soon as done with, from Your Humble Sert.
