William Samuel to John Fitch (August 23, 1787)

Thursday Afternoon 23d August Dr. Johnson presents his Compliments to Mr. Fitch and assures him that the Exhibition yesterday gave the Gentlemen present much satisfaction. He himself, and he doubts not the other Gentlemen, will always be happy to give him every Countenance and encouragement in their Power, which his Ingenuity and Industry entitles him to.
