James McHenry to Peggy McHenry (August 26, 1787)

Philadelphia 26 August 1787 My dear Peggy. . . . I am now going to drink tea at your aunts after which I propose to spend half an hour in the state house walks, and then return home to finish the evening with the poetic and ingenious Haley. I am very much pleased with this writer and wish that I could send you all that he has published, but I do not believe that his works are to be had in town. . . .
