Resolution concerning Dispatches for Martinque directed to Richard Harrison (May 29, 1776)

[29 May 1776]
Resolved that the Committee of Safety be (directed) to transmit to the Island of Martinico in the West Indies, by a Packet-Boat, with the greatest Expedition, the following Resolutions of the General Congress, vizt. that of the 23d. of March for making Reprisals on British Property; that of the 6th. of April for open Ports and a free Trade in all the united Colonies, and that of the 15th. of May for a Recommendation to the respective Assemblies and Conventions concerning Government; together with the Resolve of this Convention of the 15th. of May, containing Instructions to the Virginia Delegates in the said General Congress. That the said Resolutions, and also a Copy of this Resolve, be enclosed under cover directed to (Richard Harrison) Esquire; who is hereby authorised and desired to deliver them imediatly to the Governor of the said Island.
