William Blount to John Gray Blount (June 15, 1787)

William Blount to John Gray Blount Newyork June 15th 1787.
Major Pierce returned here last Night from the Convention of which he is a Member and says it is probable and that it is the general Opinion of the Members of that Body that it will not rise before the Middle of October.
I have not learned from him what in particular is done but he says in general Terms very little is done and nothing definitive indeed I suppose he would not like to descend to particulars even to me who am a Member as I have not taken my seat for the Members are under an Injunction not [to] disclose by writing or otherwise any part of their Proceedings to any Persons but siting Members.
