Rousby Hall July 12th 1768
[DEAR SIR
I have] the Pleasure to Send for your Accep[tance a] Ram & Ewe Lamb by Mr. Heward [and later I] intend on Old Ewe with [her spring lambs will] be sent [. You may make u]se of their Dam that [they may be] Sort [short?] Shorn with any Certain [results. If these] are taken proper Care of you [can hope] for no Better.
[Mrs. Fitzhug]h Brot. me a Son two Days [ago and joins] in Complts to you & your [lady. Yo]ur Obed[t. &] Huml Ser[vt]

[The ewes] are Slit in Both Ears & [the Ram] on the Right Side.
